  Dear Yuichi:

This has been a very happy year for you as you have accomplished a number of successful goals and achievements. I am very glad you have had these happy experiences. I have not hear the expression--Potsdam Lt.However, I do understand the reason for it. Last month, I wrote a long letter to the mayor of Ota-ku and thanked him for supplying the needed information about the bridge. I want to thank you again for your efforts in contacting him. I do not know who disclosed Watanabe's address to the British press. As I mentioned in my last letter to you, I said how the reporters called me and wanted to know more about W.and how they could contact him. I referred the reporters to Sam and Nakajima. I did not expect them to give out the address and I was very surprised when I hear about the interview. Now, I do not want to know Watanabe's address as I do not want to be in the position of having to give it to anyone who may want it. I do have some mixed feelings about contacting or seeing Watanabe again. However, if he is willing to do so, I would be willing to visit with him on a personal basis. I do not carry in my heart the remorse, hatred , or other bad feelings which so many X-POWs still do. I learned a long time ago it is not wise to continue holding these feelings as they can became like a cancer in the mind. I do not recall if I sent you a photo-copy of a spectacular view of London which appeared in one of the London newspapers. It brought back the memory of our trip to Greenwich. The view is looking down the Thames River towards Greenwich (x). The Tower of London is in the lower left corner. Do you remember the spans being raised when we returned? The past three weeks have been very busy for me. I had a woman edit my manuscript for grammer, spellings and etc. She does the editing of journals, articles and publications for the Department of Chemistry at the University of Texas. Friday, I sent a copy of the first three chapters to a publisher. Now, I must close so that I can finish checking the rest of the final copy. I will continue to try to contact Goldsworthy.

Sincerely, Bob
