  Dear Yuichi:
Again, I am very much behind in answering my correspondence. The part few months have been rather busy for me. I did get a prompt answer to Mrs.Endo (via FAX ) concerning the need for additional information.A copy is enclosed for your informaiton. I am looking forward to learning what she has to say about the manuscript-good or bad. Her comments will be very helpful. I am very thankful for Mrs.Endo's first letter in which she asked for information about the Norwegians as it prompted me to find out what had happened to those who had been in Omori.I was particularily happy to learn that Capt.Larlsen was still alive. My delay in answering your letters have been partially due to me desire to contact Helen McD.first. I have finally found out that she has been gone the last two weeks and will be back in the office tomorrow. Then I may learn something of her plans for the October symposium. I will let you know as soon as I can find out anything. I do understand and appreciate the feelings that most Japanese would have for not attending a symposium on this particular topic. Off hand,I would suggest to you that you should not be very concerned about the symposium. Do not worry about it. I believe that the Museum is interested in trying to get big names (well known)as panelists. It has taken me a long time to learn that it is best not to wait for museum staff to make a decision before making my own plans. My travel plans are still usure at this time. I will have to wait until the first of May before I can begin to firm-up a possible itinerary. That is when I will get the schedule for Air Force flights from San Antonio fot the month. I would like to be in England during the letter part of the month. It is possible that the only flights to Europe will go into Germany. This makes it rather difficult somethings to get to England. It is a big gamble. I could end up in Spain or Italy. I will let you know more about my plans when I get the May schedule. I want to thank you and Mrs.Endo for your assistance with my manuscript. I do anticipate a number of problems which could develop, but I will have to wait and take one step at a time. Sincerely, Rob
