Dear Yuichi:

I am glad you enjoyed my last letter and the picture of the old relic in Pompeii. It was fortunate that the man who took it knew something about photography and composition of a picture. I try to get one unusual or fun picture of myself on a trip, but often the person taking the photo does not know how to composea picture. I have a few good ones. My favorite one was a profile ( side view ) as I sat at a side-walk cafe in Paris while smoking my pipe ( my tradamark ) and enjoying a glass of wine. The Eiffel Tower was in the background. I try to give each one an interesting title in my photo album.

The photos of my trip to Vancouver and Whistler ( ski resort ) in May includes two pictures entitled- "The right and wrong ways to end a day on the ski slopes" ( I do not ski ). One shows me enjoying a glass of brandy and my pipe in front of a fire inside the ski lodge. The other one shows an injured person on a strecher being carried from the ski lift to an ambulance.

I also enjoy receiving your letters because they contain so much interesting information. I was surprised to learn of your participation in the senior olympics. Congratulations.

I also appreciated learning about Lou Z.'s being named the official torch bearer in the Olympics. I hope to send out an up-dated list of the names and addresses of the Omori X-POWs in January and I will include the information about Lou so that everyone can be watching to see it. Hopefully, I will know by then when the CBS special program will be shown. The X-POWs in Norway are trying to get it shown in their country. I still have my doubts about W's son allowing his father to be interviewed with Lou.

Please give Sam my best regards. I liked him when I first met him and enjoyed his company when we went out to dinner. I will not forget his visit. His efforts to find an alternate publisher will be greatly appreciated.

Your comments about Tom were interesting. I tend to agree with you.

I do not have any news at this time, so I will close this letter by wishing you and your family- "Best wishes for the new year".

Sincerely,
Bob
