Now I will continue to answer your letters of August 18 and 24th.

I do realize and know that without your help my manuscript would not be published in Japan. I sincerely appreciate your interest and help in trying to get it published there. However, I do not want you to be burdened or to feel obligated with the difficult work of translating it, because I believe it is more important for us to enjoy the years we have left than to worry about getting some words published. We should wait to see what T-S says about the manuscript and the possibility of it be published. I will understand and I will not feel and bad (unhappy) if you decide not to continue the translating.

I had a very enjoyable week-end (Sep13-15) with my son. The two of us drove to Boerne, a small town northwest of San Antonio, and stayed at an historical inn ( small hotel ) where the stage coaches (wagons) stopped on their journey between E1 Paso and San Antonio during the 1800's. Then we went on a tour of the Y/O Ranch. Y/O is the brand (symbol ) used on cattle to identify ownership. The ranch is internationally known for raising longhorn cattle and exotic ( rare ) animals from all over the world. I try to spend a week-end with my son several times a year and we will go to an unusual or interesting place. I believe it is a good father/son relationship to spend time together.
