Dear Mr. Brown,
Since our meeting almost one year ago, I have been following your words and deeds through the Earth Policy News and media reports.
Thanks to you joining the Tree Plating Association, the number of members has surged.
Environmental preservation of the campus is being propelled by a tripartite cooperation amongst the alumni, faculty and students. It was and is a great honor to be acclaimed by you as a unique and unparalleled organization in the world.
The double cherry blossom sapling that you planted last year came into flower this spring. Enclosed are the photographs taken last month of that commemorative tree in bloom.
Moreover, the association has formally decided its logo. As you see, the banner with the words “let’s green & clean” surrounds the Hitotsubashi University insignia. We hope that we can rely upon your continued guidance and support as we continue our steady efforts to fully realize the goal emblazoned in the logo.
Finally, all the members of the association would like to send their best wishes to you and to pray for your health and continued success.
Yours sincerely,
Seizo Kano
Chairman
Hitotsubashi Tree Planting Association
